For technical, altitude-spiked trail tours and fast after-work laps: For this Transition Bikes is bringing its latest mountain bike model into the ring - the Spur. The 29-inch bike comes from the factory with 120 millimetres of front and rear suspension travel, but can also be converted into a potent marathon racer with a 100 mm shock.
The Spur's full carbon frame is made entirely from high-quality Japanese Toray fibres. The special EPS manufacturing process with latex coating enables an angular frame design and is intended to save unnecessary material. According to the manufacturer, the frame weight with shock should be 2450 grams.
The track frame comes as standard with a shock with 120 millimetres of travel, namely the Rockshox SID Luxe. Fittingly installed Transition All three models feature the new Rockshox SID fork with 120 millimetre travel. The flex of the carbon struts replaces the bearings and pivot points on the rear triangle, which reduces weight and maintenance. If you want to ride the bike a little more sportily, you can also install a shock with 100 mm travel. The carbon frame can accommodate tyres up to 2.4 inches wide. Thanks to the short seat tube, you can ride Vario seat posts with plenty of travel. High-quality, low-maintenance bearings from EnduroMAX in standard sizes should keep service times to a minimum.
For long touring days, the Spur has a practical accessory holder under the top tube. Also essential for long-distance fans: the two water bottle holders. The Spur will be available from July, the German distributor is Trailtoys.
