The black stanchions of the Revelation fork of the Rose, which has a generous 130 mm travel, look discreetly elegant compared to the competition.

The Monarch RT3 shock from Bocholt is also the best model, which pays off on the descents. The suspension feels like it has more travel than it actually does. On the climbs, however, it suffers from a slight influence of the drivetrain, but the damper platform remedies this. The geometry data on the spec sheet initially seems inconsistent due to the very low reach and stack values. On the trail, the character of the Rose proves to be by no means inharmonious, but rather independent and above all successful. Behind the cranked handlebars, you stand low, almost integrated into the bike. The Ground Control is the most balanced bike in the test field, sporty uphill and with reserves downhill, it rolls casually to the test victory. Small riders beware, the seat tube is very long.

ConclusionRose puts together the best overall package, with the suspension forming the centrepiece of the shipper. Pure riding pleasure for € 2000.

The alternative: If you can live with buying a previous year's model, you can order the Ground Control 1 2015 for 1834 euros in the web shop. The bike configurator also allows you to customise the equipment according to your preferences.
