Race expertise: Canyon Lux CF9 Emily Batty on test
It's no longer a secret that Canyon riders like all-rounder Mathieu van der Poel have been using forks with 120 mm travel on the classic Lux.

The latest version of the Lux with the addition Trail therefore comes with the longer fork ex works. But that's not all: the Koblenz-based company has redesigned the entire frame to meet the requirements of the down-country category. At 67.2 degrees, the steering angle on the trail version is a full 2.8 degrees slacker than on the normal Lux. The reach has also increased significantly and is in line with the competition despite the M frame size. The rear suspension travel remains almost unchanged at 108 millimetres and is rather short compared to Scott and BMC. This means that in terms of composure, the mail-order bike has to give way to its more potent down-country competitors.

Conclusion on the Canyon Lux CF9 Emily Batty:

Peter Nilges, BIKE Test Manager: "Propulsion-orientated and yet more downhill-oriented than classic race bikes - with the Lux Trail, Canyon combines race expertise with the downhill skills of a trail bike. This combination is unbeatable on the increasingly technical race tracks.
