One thing is clear: the Mach 4 SL will never get a price/performance tip in BIKE. Apart from that, however, the fast trail bike is impressive across the board.

The fact that the US brand is focussing on an exclusive image and charging exorbitant prices is not really new. However, with a price tag of 12449 euros, even we have to swallow hard. And yet there is an even more expensive version of the recently launched Marathon Fully. With a 120 mm fork and 106 millimetres of travel at the rear, the Mach 4 SL follows the trend of fast trail bikes. However, the bike is also available in a classic version with a 100 mm fork and a more pointed range of use.

We grabbed the expensive Pivot Mach 4 SL and reveal in our test what the bike can really do on the trail. You can find the PDF in the download area below.
