Majority decision: Alutech ICB 2.0 in test
Every detail of this bike was democratically voted on in the MTB News forum. The ICB 2.0 is therefore, so to speak, the average value of what the forum members think is good in a trail bike.

The frame produced by Alutech looks very high quality and has some nice details to offer. The bike looks long when you first sit on it, quite high at the front and overall more like an enduro bike. The weight of almost 13 kilos without pedals also points in this direction. Overall, however, you stand well on the bike. On the Isar, the concept of the ICB 2.0 didn't quite convince us. The bike doesn't feel very agile. This may be due to the weight or the long geo. The first tour was also spoilt by weak rear suspension performance. An incorrect compression set-up was to blame. With replacement shocks, the function was much more sensitive, provided a lot of comfort and didn't bob even on uphills. Nevertheless, the bike doesn't really pop on the trail and the lack of dynamics was also noticeable in the bike park. The ICB 2.0 was less fast on flow trails than the Rocky Thunderbolt BC and required more physical effort to fly over doubles.

ConclusionStylish design, good price, high-quality equipment. The ICB 2.0 is a good all-rounder without any real weaknesses, but it lacks the liveliness and pop for a really good trail bike.
