Innovations 2011: Specialized Demo 8 and SX Trail
The Demo 8 changes its character in the direction of downhill racing. The SX Trail gets more suspension travel and becomes a real freerider.

Weight 17 kilos Suspension travel 200 mm

The Demo has been completely redesigned with the aim of saving weight, making the bike more compact and lowering the centre of gravity. The frame triangle (aluminium hydroforming) is smaller and more stable, the bottom bracket slightly lower and the geometry optimised for downhill racing, as the Demo 8 is the machine of pro racer Sam Hill.

Weight 17 kilos Suspension travel 180 mm

180 instead of 170 millimetres at the rear, 180 instead of 160 at the fork mean that the SX Trail is more freerider than ever. Finally, the new Enduro Evo is available as a light freerider. The geometry has been modified slightly in line with the increase in suspension travel so that the angles and therefore the handling remain the same.
