High-end trail bike: Transition Spur
The modern trail bike in the BIKE test: Despite the manageable suspension travel of 116/122 millimetres, the Transition Spur is a tough downhill rider with a very smooth ride.

At a price of 9499 euros, Transition pulls out all the stops and scores full points for equipment with the new Spur. From Sram's AXS drivetrain to DT's carbon wheels, the lightweight 2180 gram carbon frame (price: 3199 euros) is fitted exclusively with high-end components that perfectly match the straightforward design of the frame. Despite the grippy Maxxis tyres, the Spur weighs just 11.66 kilos.

Read the test to find out how the Transition Spur performed in the BIKE laboratory and practical test. You can find the article from BIKE 10/2020 as a PDF in the download area below.

The test costs 0.99 euros. Why not free of charge? Because quality journalism has a price. In return, we guarantee independence and objectivity. This applies in particular to the tests in BIKE. We don't pay for them, but the opposite is the case: we charge for them, hundreds of thousands of euros every year.
