The new stereo from the development department storms straight to the top of the test field.

The newcomer already attracted attention in the test lab: the lightest bike in the test field scored the first important points here with excellent stiffness values and a Reverb dropper post with 150 mm drop. In the practical test, the Cube impressed above all with its light-footed acceleration and playful character in the corners. The sensitive suspension always offers sufficient reserves and conveys confidence in every situation. On flatter sections, the trail position on the shock can be selected without any major loss of comfort in order to make power transmission even more efficient. Cube gives the customer a choice of wheel sizes, as the carbon main frame with aluminium rear triangle is available in sizes M & L in both 27.5 and 29er formats (S only in 27.5 and XL only in 29er).

ConclusionThe Stereo leaves nothing to be desired in terms of frame or equipment, our testers would only have liked slightly wider tyres to increase the fun factor downhill. Short seat tube!

The alternative: On the 2499 euro Stereo 120 HPA SL model, Cube swaps the carbon frame for aluminium. Hence the A in HPA. Cube says the bike weighs 250 grams more than the HPC. The equipment remains largely the same.
