The Stereo 120 is an old favourite in the Cube range. But for 2020, the Waldershofen-based company is giving the classic trail bike a brand-new carbon fibre main frame.

The new, lightweight carbon frame saves a whopping 400 grams compared to the aluminium version, at a manageable additional cost of 300 euros. The rear triangle remains untouched and is still made of aluminium. Overall, the Stereo is a good deal: for a fair 2800 euros, you get a well thought-out spec with a Sram 12-speed drivetrain, powerful Shimano XT stoppers and easy-to-accelerate Fulcrum wheels. For a bike weighing just over 13kg, you can easily pay €2000 more elsewhere these days.
