Light, fast, strong. With the HybRide Kato FS 6.7, Ghost has created an almost perfect trail bike. The E-MTB fully impressed us in the test with its downhill qualities and riding position.

"This is what a trail bike should feel like downhill!" the testers agreed. But the squeaky yellow bike was also impressive on the climbs. With a balanced, sporty riding position, sensitive rear end and very grippy tyres, it was first-class on the rocky uphill route. The Shimano motor was very cadence-dependent: It only provided full support from around 80 revolutions per minute, below that it felt weak. On the other hand, the bike's acceleration was more lively than the competition and its handling was very similar to that of a normal bike. Downhill, the Kato was able to convince everyone. Although the Yari fork is a little insensitive at high speeds, the bike gave a lot of confidence and was very fast. The low weight was noticeable. On edges, it was easy to get onto the rear wheel and it was easy to push off the ground. The cleverly chosen components round off the overall picture positively.

Test summary: The Ghost Kato HybRide FS is an almost perfect trail bike: agile handling and yet as smooth as an enduro bike. The riding position is rather sporty, but comfortable. Quite light.
