With the Spectral 125 CF 9, Canyon is sending its very own interpretation of the trail bike category into the race.

This is because the Koblenz-based company has given the 140-millimetre fork new Spectral 125 a rear triangle with only 125 millimetres of travel. Plus an extremely flat geometry as well as tyres and components that would also look good on modern enduro bikes. But why this unusual specification? Quite simply: The Mini-Spectral is designed to spoil its rider with maximum downhill fun in true enduro style. However, because most enduro bikes with up to 180 millimetres of travel are quickly underchallenged even on alpine trails and in bike parks, the short travel on the Spectral 125 is intended to provide new challenges in the terrain. The bike masters this top range of use perfectly.

You can download the complete test with all riding impressions and ratings from BIKE 5/2022 as a PDF below the article. The test costs 0.99 euros.

Why not free of charge? Because quality journalism has a price. In return, we guarantee independence and objectivity. This applies in particular to the tests in BIKE. We don't pay for them, but the opposite is the case: we charge for them, hundreds of thousands of euros every year.
