Canyon Neuron:On 5.0 for 2799 euros in the EMTB test
The cheapest E-MTB fullys from many manufacturers cost around 4000 euros - or significantly more. Canyon offers the Neuron:on 5.0 at a competitive price: 2799 euros.

E-mountainbikes are getting better and better: sophisticated motors, powerful batteries, sensitive suspension and harmonious geometries - the manufacturers are working on all of this. But there is one thing that the latest generation of e-MTBs is not: easy on the wallet. Even on many full-suspension bikes around €4,000, you'll find plenty of economy components, while hardtails around €3,000 almost invariably come without a dropper post and with cheap suspension forks. We took the Canyon Neuron:On out on our selective test track in Arco, Italy, together with the expensive high-end bikes from EMTB issue 1/20 - and were pleasantly surprised!

Find out what you can expect from an E-Fully for € 2799 in the Canyon Neuron:On 5.0 test report, which you can find as a PDF in the download section below.

Florentin Vesenbeckh has been on a mountain bike since he was ten years old. Even on his very first tour, he focussed on single trails - and even after more than 30 years in the saddle of an MTB, these are still the quintessence of biking for him. He spent his youth competing in various bike disciplines and later his cycling career was characterised by years as a riding technique coach. Professionally, the experienced test editor now focusses on e-mountainbikes. In recent years, the qualified sports scientist and trained journalist has tested over 300 bikes and more than 40 different motor systems in the laboratory and in practice.
