Bulls Six50 EVO in the EMTB check
The test results for the Bulls E-MTB Six50 EVO AM2 are mixed: Plus for battery, rear, geo and motor. Downsides for the front tyre and suspension fork.

The visually successful Bulls Six50 EVO AM2 impressed on the climbs with its sensitive but stable rear end and balanced geometry. The bike reliably kept the front wheel on the ground on steep gradients and always provided good traction thanks to the finely responsive rear suspension. The Bosch motor pushes powerfully as usual and always delivers just the right amount of power in E-MTB mode. Downhill, the Bulls is actually one of the fastest in its class. The long wheelbase and slack steering angle stabilise the bike and make it almost poach in the enduro segment. If it weren't for the fork, which noticeably lacks compression damping. As a result, the bike dives deep into the suspension travel when braking and releases too much travel on bumps. Instead of a locking function, an effective compression damping cartridge would have made more sense. The Nobby Nic at the front is also not ideally positioned and tends to slip suddenly.

Conclusion: Smart battery integration, great rear end, good geo, powerful motor - it all fits. Unfortunately, the fork on the Bulls E-MTB is weak and the front tyre has too little grip.

Problem child: The Bulls' Suntour fork gave us a headache. Too little counter-pressure in the mid-stroke caused a lot of bottoming out on steep climbs. Instead of the (superfluous) locking function, we would have preferred an effective compression adjustment.Photo: Markus Greber Problem child: The Bulls' Suntour fork gave us a headache.
