Topics in this article

Bike category: Trail

  • Price range: from 3000 Euro

  • Price: 11700 Euro
  • Weight: 11.7 kg
  • Tested in: BIKE 01/25
  • Spring travel: 140/135 mm
  • Special features: German manufacture; carbon layup on request

If you are looking for an absolute high-end trail bike with a focus on propulsion and low weight, Stoll is the right choice. The T3 SL can easily undercut the 12-kilo mark and is extremely efficient on the throttle. Thanks to the choice of components and the carbon layup, the Stoll pulls out all the stops and fulfils the ideal concept of a trail bike with flying colours. The range of use of the lightweight fullys is huge and is only limited by the budget for the purchase.

Advantages and disadvantages

  • Plus: Outstanding propulsion; sensitive and efficient
  • Minus: high price; large jumps in frame size

  • Price: 7300 Euro
  • Weight: 12.3 kg
  • Tested in: BIKE 03/25
  • Spring travel: 130/120 mm
  • Special features: Ride-4 adjustment

The Element C70 is a true master of the elements and meets all the challenges that a trail has to offer with aplomb. The latest version of the Rocky classic has also retained its wide range of uses and also reduced the weight of the frame. The lightweight carbon frame weighs just 1900 grams and has a pleasing geometry with a 65.6 steering angle and a 77.7 degree seat angle. The suspension also scores points for sensitivity.

Advantages and disadvantages

  • Plus: Sensitive, potent chassis; balanced handling
  • Minus: weak brakes; favourable wheels

  • Price: 3099 Euro
  • Weight: 13.7 kg
  • Tested in: BIKE 03/25
  • Spring travel: 140/140 mm
  • Special features: Mullet tyres for size XS/S

The Canyon Neuron has already emerged as the test winner in various comparisons and is something like the perfect all-rounder. The trail bike, which is on the cusp of the all-mountain category, is not an absolute high-flyer in any discipline apart from the laboratory rating and the top price-performance ratio. Instead, it scores consistently high marks in all areas and delivers the best overall package. Whether long tours, fast laps on the home trails or technical descents - the Neuron scores highly.

Advantages and disadvantages

  • Plus: balanced handling; top chassis; acceptable weight; many clever details
  • Minus: Tyres roll well, but are limited off-road
