The Commencal Meta SX V3 frame is celebrating a comeback in 2017: with new geometry, 27.5-inch wheels and a new design, Commencal is offering an affordable enduro bike with high-quality equipment. At the rear, a Rock Shox Monarch Plus controls the 160 millimetres of suspension travel, while a Lyrik RC with 170 millimetres at the front. The NX11 drivetrain and Level T brakes come from Sram, while most of the rest of the equipment is from Commencal's own Alpha brand. For 2199 euros, you have to do without a dropper post, but the price is impressive.
The Meta TR V3 is Commencal's entry-level fully for 1599 euros. At the front, a Rock Shox Silver with 140 millimetres of travel absorbs the shocks, at the rear a Monarch with 130 millimetres. The gears are shifted by Sram's X5 gears, and a hydraulic Tektro brake stops the wild ride. The trail bike also rolls on 27.5-inch wheels.
With the Meta TR hardtails, Commencal offers two affordable aluminium mountain bikes, both of which come with 27.5-inch wheels. Thanks to favourable but well thought-out equipment, the prices are low: For 699 euros, the Meta TR Origin is equipped with a Rock Shox XC 30 fork with 120 millimetres of suspension travel and a Sram X4/X5 gear mix. The Meta TR Ride for 879 euros offers a little more: Rock Shox Recon Silver and Sram X4/X5/X7 shifting mix. Both roll on Maxxis Ardent tyres.
The bikes for young riders have been given revised geometries and new designs for the 2017 season. Commencal offers three wheel sizes: 20, 24 and 27.5 inches. All bikes come with a Sram drivetrain, hydraulic Tektro disc brakes and suspension fork. The Meta HT 20 costs 649 euros, the Meta HT 24 749 euros and the Meta HT JR 949 euros. The latter has a Rock Shox Recon Silver fork with 120 millimetres of suspension travel and Sram NX 11-speed drivetrain.
