The B/O/F/F Film Tour 2025/26 presents seven films about mountain sports, adventure and outdoor activities. The spectrum ranges from extreme climbing, highlining and mountain biking to sailing, skiing and paragliding.
A special highlight is the world premiere of the film "B.I.G." about one of the most difficult climbing routes in the world. The entire film evening with presentation and prize draw lasts around two and a half hours and promises exciting insights into various mountain sports disciplines.
The programme kicks off with the 28-minute film "B.I.G." about a first ascent in Flatanger, Norway. In autumn 2023, Jakob Schubert managed the first free ascent of one of the world's most difficult climbing routes with a suggested grade of 9c. Together with Adam Ondra, who had set up the route, Schubert worked on the ascent in the Hanshelleren cave. The film documents the attempts, which were streamed live on YouTube and kept the climbing community in suspense worldwide. It shows the tension and uncertainty of the project as well as the triumph of the ascent.
Walking on clouds" is a 15-minute film about a spectacular highline world record attempt. Friedi Kühne from Rosenheim and Lukas Irmler from Freising dare to attempt the world's highest highline - stretched between two hot air balloons at a height of 2,500 metres above the Chiemgau region. After months of preparation, they take on the challenge of balancing on a 25-millimetre narrow band between the moving balloons. The film accompanies the two of them from training through technical hurdles to the decisive moment high above the clouds.
The 21-minute film "The Patagonia of Asia" shows an adventurous mountain bike expedition to Kyrgyzstan. Gerhard Czerner and Gerald Rosenkranz venture with their bikes into the inhospitable mountain world of the Tian Shan, where peaks tower over 7,000 metres high. In this sparsely populated country, they fight their way through icy heights to the limits of what is rideable. The film documents the exertions of the two passionate bikers in the harsh landscape beyond civilisation. It promises breathtaking shots for the big screen and a story of friendship and adventure.
The 18-minute film "Exploring Senja" offers a combination of skiing and mountain biking adventures. It follows Ingolf Schmitt and the Prielmaier family on two trips to the Norwegian island of Senja, north of the Arctic Circle. In winter, Schmitt and Andi Prielmaier ski steep flanks and gullies right down to the sea. In summer, Prielmaier returns with his sons Simon and Moritz to attempt a crossing of the island on their mountain bikes. The film mixes winter adventures with a summery father-son story against the spectacular backdrop of Senja's rugged mountains.
The 10-minute film "Freer.AI.de" takes a humorous look at the future of freeriding. In it, Felix Wiemers tests a fictitious app that seems to offer everything - from route planning and live navigation to a holographic companion. What begins as an impressive high-tech experience develops into an adventure full of surprises and mishaps. With a wink, the film raises the question of how far technology will change mountain sports and where the limits lie.
The 15-minute film "Strompiraten" shows a combination of climbing and sailing. Alexandra Schweikart and Christopher Igel board a small sailing boat to search for climbing routes on the coasts of Greece. Their goal is a first ascent - as long, difficult and safe as possible. The film documents the challenges of the boat trip for the climbers as well as the search for the perfect route. It tells of a passion for climbing, personal fulfilment and the search for electricity for the drill in the harbours.
The programme concludes with the 4-minute short film "No Way!" about acrobatic paragliding. Jean-Baptiste Chandelier uses alpine pass roads for spectacular flight manoeuvres and seemingly outwits gravity and traffic rules. The creative sports documentary promises breathtaking shots and unconventional flying manoeuvres by the French paraglider pilot.
