The Wakhan Corridor is a 300 kilometre long and up to 60 kilometre wide strip in the Pamir Mountains. It was created in the 19th century by the British and Russians as a neutral strip between Tajikistan, Pakistan, China and Afghanistan - and seemingly forgotten. After all, the British left Central Asia a long time ago. But we now benefit from this relic: no-one has ever travelled through these remote mountains on a mountain bike. That's why we're here. We've been battling our way through this wild landscape for five days now, and I'm already reaching my physical limits. We wanted the adventure, but nobody would have thought it would be this tough.
