Vehicle manufacturer Seico built the ROC (Real Outdoor Camper) motorhome especially for bikers and according to the wishes and specifications of BIKE readers - including Christian. He can now look forward to a 2-week trip with the camping prototype.

Together with sales vehicle manufacturer Seico, we have published a Survey started: We wanted to know what the perfect bike motorhome looks like for you. Almost 1000 BIKE readers took part and answered questions about the layout of the interior or the number of bikes that need to be accommodated. On a scale from 0 to 10, you were also asked how important a helmet rack, a water connection for a steam jet or a charging function for e-bikes on board is to you.

Essential in a bike motorhome: an on-board workshop

You could also suggest your own ideas. At the top of the wish list were the on-board workshop, an assembly stand, enough space for tools and spare parts plus a dirt trap for dirty laundry or MTB shoes. Off-road capability to get as close as possible to the best bike spots and the greatest possible energy self-sufficiency (solar) were also high on the list.

With your input, Seico got to work and designed the ROC (Real Outdoor Camper). You can see the result in the photo. With a large tailgate, wet room, fold-down bed, space for at least two bikes and the standard PV system, many of the features you requested have already been implemented. However, further customisation is possible! The 3.5-tonner based on the Fiat Ducato with 180 hp diesel engine and automatic transmission is also available with an optional gross weight of 4.2 tonnes. Off-road fans can order a 4x4 variant with all-wheel drive.

Everyone who took part in the survey had the chance to win a two-week trip with the Camping prototypes of the Seico ROC to win. Christian R. from NRW is delighted to have won this prize. Congratulations! We wish you lots of fun on your first trip with the Bike-Camper.

Sebastian Brust was born in 1979 and was originally socialised on his grandmother's folding bike, but has mainly been riding studded tyres since his fifth birthday. Loves all kinds of bikes - and merging with nature. Believes that disc brakes are much safer today than they were 15 years ago and thinks he has helped with his brake and pad tests. However, the trained vehicle technology engineer very much regrets that the bicycle industry is orientating itself on what he considers to be the wrong ideals of the car industry. At BIKE, he corrects, produces and organises digital content on the website.
