New in the bikeline series: The cycle tour book for the Werse-Ems cycle path in Münsterland
The Werse-Ems cycle route connects both river valleys with the towns of Oelde, Beckum, Ahlen, Münster, Telgte, Warendorf and Gütersloh, all of which are well worth a visit. The new bikeline cycle tour book for the cycle route has recently been published by Esterbauer, which contains all the information you need to plan the tour and the journey on site.

The new bikeline compact cycle tour book describes the "Werse-Ems-Radweg" from Rheda-Wiedenbrück on a 200 kilometre route through the Münsterland region to the cycling city of Münster. A variety of water landscapes with rivers, canals, lakes and the Werse estuary into the Ems can be found along the route. Historic towns, numerous castles and mills lie along the way. There are also many interesting facts to discover about the history and industrial heritage of the region. The cycle tour book also describes an excursion to Hamm on a former railway line.

Ideal conditions for leisure cyclists

Almost 50 per cent of the Werse-Ems Cycle Route consists of excellently developed cycle paths and good cycle infrastructure - from a surface that is easy to cycle on to continuous signposting. The other half of the route runs on quiet roads without any significant gradients. The Werse-Ems cycle route is therefore ideal for leisure cyclists, e-bikers and families.

Environmentally friendly travelling in Münsterland

The cycle tour is possible completely car-free by bike and train. The tour starts at Rheda-Wiedenbrück railway station. There are other railway stations along the way if you want to organise your cycle tour differently. The route of the Werse-Ems cycle path is very natural and idyllic, leading through fields, forests and meadows and often directly along the water. The Bee Museum in Drensteinfurt and the Four Seasons Park in the town of Oelde also bring cyclists closer to the topics of ecology and the environment.
