At first glance, there are no bikepacking products here, which is quite unusual for me. But on closer inspection you realise:

  • Although an arse rocket keeps the dirt well away from your bum and back, opening the bag in muddy weather is a dirty business. It stays much cleaner with an Ass Saver Win Wing. Of course, the small plastic mudguard also works without a bikepacking bag. It's really amazing how well it keeps the dirt out
  • Gift tip number 2 is a kind of bucket list, actually intended for racing cyclists, but how about a gravel bikepacking tour to tick off a legendary pass or two?
  • My third gift tip can also have something to do with bikepacking. It's up to the recipient to decide what to make of it.

1. no more dirty bum

Everything has already been said above. The Win Wing from Ass Saver is a minimalist mudguard for all those who don't fancy permanently installed mudguards. As simple as it is ingenious, the Win Wing can be attached to the bike in no time at all and Gives you a clean ar***. The new version, Win Wing 2, even includes two small pieces of frame protection film. And the splash guard is even more robust than the first version.

2. road bike passes can also be easily incorporated into gravel bikepacking tours

The You, Me & Cycling poster is a great way to discover the world's legendary road bike passes - and tick off the ones you've already ridden. It was designed by Anton, one of the two faces behind You, Me and Cycling. The second face is Henri, known on Instagram as @henricyclinginparadise. The two live in Munich and explore their immediate surroundings as well as more distant road cycling and gravel destinations by bike. The poster with the 100 legendary Alpine passes is a project close to their hearts that they recently started offering for sale.

How do you like this article?

Anyone who knows me knows that I'm difficult to please with gifts. I know best what I need and what I don't need - and I have specific requirements. So it's easy to get carried away if you give me a set of new gravel tyres - but the wrong ones - or a pair of gloves or even socks. And what can you do? Exactly, the good old gift voucher, for example from Rose. Although not entirely original, it ensures that the gift is the right one, as the person receiving the gift has the choice of product in their own hands. So for me, a gift voucher is a great option that my parents and grandparents also understood early on.

And now: Have fun giving presents

What she rides, uses and recommends has to stand the test of time: not in marketing, but in real life.
