Bike parks and their opening hours 2018

"Trails and paths are freed from ice." A famous German poet by the name of Johann Wolfgang von would probably have said this, or something similar, if he had been a mountain biker. At last! But while cross-country bikers and marathon riders, touring and enduro bikers are already getting their money's worth again, at least in the low mountain ranges, most fans of cable car-assisted downhill cycling will have to wait a little longer. So that you can get back on your bike as soon as possible, we have summarised all the major bike parks in Germany, Austria, France and Italy with their opening times for 2018 in one place. Bike parks in Germany with expected opening

• Albstadt (www.bikepark-albstadt.info): 24 March - 28 October on weekends and public holidays, July to September also on Fridays
• Bad Wildbad (www.bikepark-bad-wildbad.de): March until October, depending on the weather and only at weekends in the off-peak months
• Beerfelden (www.bikepark-beerfelden.de): April until October Friday to Sunday and public holidays, also open on weekends before and after, weather permitting.
• Bischofsmais, Geißkopf (www.bikepark.net) : not yet announced for 2018 - probably May until November, as long as there is no snow. May and November usually only at weekends.
• Boppard (www.sesselbahn-boppard.de): Only limited by weather
• Braunlage (www.bikepark-braunlage.de): approx. mid-June until October, then depending on snow conditions
• Elstra (http://www.black-mountain-bikepark.de/): highly weather-dependent, closed in summer when it rains, so be sure to check the website beforehand. Probably open from April.
• Feldberg (http://woffm.de/bikepark-feldberg-informationen/) : public club track, therefore only closed at night, Shuttle dates via Facebook.
• Hahnenklee (www.bikepark-hahnenklee.de): From April until probably beginning of November
• Hindelang (www.bikepark-hindelang.de): currently locked. Open again probably from mid-May - Note the snow conditions!
• Lenggries (www.bikepark-lenggries.com): 1 May - 31 October, only on weekends, also on Fridays during the Bavarian summer holidays.
• Oberammergau (www.bikepark-oberammergau.de): 13 April - probably at the beginning of November; all day on weekends
• Ochsenkopf (https://de-de.facebook.com/BikeparkOchsenkopf): ca. May until October. For detailed information, it is worth taking a look at Facebook shortly before your visit.
• Osternohe (www.bikepark-osternohe.de): 1 April - 31 Octoberthree days a week, at weekends and on public holidays. Also open all year round, but depending on weather conditions.
• Samerberg (www.bikepark-samerberg.de): expected from 24 March until around the beginning of November
• Schöneck (www.bikewelt-schoeneck.de): 28 April - 15 October; Fri. - Sun., in July also on Thu.
• Schulenberg (www.bikepark-schulenberg.de): perhaps as early as 17 March (current information on Facebook) - at the beginning of November, at weekends and on bridging days, otherwise note daily updated information (surveys!)
• Silver saddle (http://www.thueringen-alpin.de): 28 April - Octoberonly on weekends and public holidays, July and August also on Fridays.
• Todtnau (www.bikepark-todtnau.de): 30 March - November.
• Trippstadt (www.bikepark-trippstadt.de): open daily all year round
• Willingen (http://www.ettelsberg-seilbahn.de/home.php): from approx. April until the onset of winter
• Winterberg (www.bikepark-winterberg.de): Not yet fixed - depending on the weather. In previous years usually from mid-April
• Sankt Andreasberg (http://www.alberti-lift.de/index.php/main-xtrail): End of March until the end of October, depending on snow conditions.

• Kitzsteinhorn (www.kitzsteinhorn.at): Large difference in altitude, therefore only open from summer 2018. In previous years usually from mid-June.
• Leogang (www.bikepark-leogang.com): 10 May - 4 November
• Saalbach-Hinterglemm (freeride.bike-circus.at): 10 May - 28 October (Reiterkogelbahn); higher trails and pump track only later
• Schladming - Planai (www.bikeparkplanai.at): 19 May - 14 October
• Semmering (semmering.com): has not yet been determined. Planned date May until around mid-October.
• Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis (www.bikepark-sfl.at): has not yet been determined. Planned. June - october
• Tyrol (www.bikepark-tirol.at): 31 May - Middle of October
• Wagrain (www.bikewagrain.com): has not yet been determined, expected June - October weekends and July to August daily.
• Wildkogel in Neukirchen (wildkogel-arena.at): May until October.

Bike parks in Switzerland

• Chur (alpenbikepark.ch): not yet finalised - expected June regular until mid-November, thereafter depending on the weather.
• Kandersteg (http://www.sunnbuel.ch/sommer/freeride-trail/): has not yet been determined, mostly June until October
• Lenzerheide (lenzerheide.com): 16 April - 21 October
• Neuchatel (www.neuchbikepark.ch): k. A. - open all year round in the past.

• Livigno - Mottolino (www.mottolino.com/de): not yet known for 2018, mostly June until October.
