For the popular leisure bus, it is worth buying a 9-euro ticket from the second journey onwards. The season ticket is an inexpensive and environmentally friendly travel option, especially for guests and locals who want to use several means of transport in succession, such as taking the Elbe cycle touring bus to Finkenwerder and then taking the ferry to Hamburg. Please note that the 9-euro ticket is only valid for a full month. Periods from mid-June to mid-July, for example, are not permitted. Of course, it is still possible to use the Elbe cycle touring bus with the regular single ticket at a price of five euros. Both the district and the tourism association are hoping for many enthusiastic passengers and continued demand for the bus, even after the end of the promotional period.
Individuals aged 6 and over - with or without a bicycle - pay 5 euros, families (max. 2 adults and 3 young people up to 14 years) with or without a bicycle 10 euros. The bus runs on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays until 3 October on two routes that meet at Jork market square. Here, passengers can decide whether to board line 1, which runs from Harsefeld via Horneburg, the Alte Land and on to Stade and the Natureum Niederelbe, or line 2, which runs from Buxtehude via Jork to Finkenwerder. It is possible to change between the lines at no extra charge. The day ticket, like the family ticket, is valid for both lines.
Further information can be found in the Elbe cycle touring bus brochure with an overview map including the route, timetables and tips on places of interest along the route, as well as the "Radlerreich" cycling information map.
