Adventure factor: Trail sharing and the use of lifts yes, but no flow curves - the Engadin peaks around Scuol were among the very first bike spots.

The precinct

Together with neighbouring Samnaun and Val Müstair, the Lower Engadine forms the easternmost part of Graubünden. Unlike the wide and flat upper Inn Valley - the Upper Engadin between St. Moritz and Brail - the Lower Engadin is much steeper and wilder. The Piz Linard (3410 m) towers over the Inn by more than 2000 metres. The Sesvenna group in the south-east of the Inn Valley is also known as the "Engadine Dolomites". Many unspoilt mountain villages such as Guarda, Ftan and Sent bask in the sun on south-facing terraces high above the Inn Valley. Mountain bikers will find one thing above all else in the Lower Engadine: pure, alpine trails. Built flow trails or bike parks? Not a chance! If you like high transitions, narrow traverses and many a pushing or carrying passage, you will find your dream area around Scuol. The Scuol mountain railway opens up a whole host of fantastic trails from the Motta Naluns summit station.

Everything in flow? There are several historic drinking halls for exhausted nature lovers right by the Inn. Best stop: The Büvetta Sfondraz (see also tour 3) has its very own, slightly esoteric aura.
