The four villages of Ischgl, Galtür, Kappl and See are specifically expanding their infrastructure for bikers and families. New trails, bike & hike combinations and climbing routes are expanding the sporting offer, while longer lift operating times and new adventure areas are making access easier for families.
The new Höllkar Trail in Ischgl starts at the mountain station of the Flimjochbahn and leads over six kilometres to the middle station of the Silvrettabahn. The route covers an altitude difference of 1189 metres and uses Northshore elements as well as flowing curves in high alpine terrain. The high alpine connection "Sur Tout / Davo Dieu" between Ischgl and Scuol runs for 28 kilometres between 2200 and 2800 metres above sea level over four passes. The route combines technical trail sections with 1869 metres of descent.
New bike & hike routes combine e-bike rides with summit climbs. The tour to Bürkelkopf ends at an altitude of 3033 metres, while the routes to Berglisee and Madleinsee combine bike trails with hiking passages. In Galtür, the Kli Zeinis Trail as a blue line is aimed at beginners, while the Birkhahn Trail challenges technically experienced riders with its tight bends.
The new e-MTB route in Kappl leads from the village to the Spiduralpe at 2115 metres and covers 18 kilometres there and back. The Kappl-See panoramic e-bike tour connects the two villages over 38 kilometres with 3259 metres of downhill altitude and uses rail support at several points.
The new Kreuzjochblick climbing garden around the Niederelbehütte is being created in collaboration with the Hamburg and Lower Elbe section of the German Alpine Club (DAV). The area includes four routes between 25 and 35 metres in length in steep wall terrain as well as a multi-pitch practice route. The Märchenwiese practice climbing garden offers beginners and children secured routes between eight and 15 metres with short approaches.
The Alblittbahn in Kappl will run continuously for the first time in summer 2026 from 20 June to 4 October. The hike to the Niederelbehütte is shortened to 8.5 kilometres there and back with 300 metres of ascent and descent thanks to the cable car support. The new Sunny Mountain Carts enable the descent from the mountain station to the Alblittbahn valley station, while the Escape Trail Kappl adds an interactive outdoor adventure with puzzle stations to the offer.
n Seebis Bärenwelt, an adventure area with interactive play stations on the mountain, has been created in See. The See bathing lake offers sunbathing lawns and play areas, while the Medrig carts provide downhill runs on three wheels. The Silvretta Therme Ischgl opens daily from 27 June to 25 November 2026 from 10:00 to 22:00.
