Cycling clears your head and everything can flow between you and the world. This is particularly noticeable when you get out of the city and into nature. Here, sport is not just fitness and exertion, but a real all-round experience.
Trentino in autumn is the perfect setting for bikers: the temperatures are pleasantly cool and the sky is a clear blue, often more beautiful than in summer. A special light shines on nature, which is still alive but is already preparing for its winter hibernation.
Cycling through the forest is like combining mountain biking with aromatherapy: you breathe in the scent of damp earth, mud, mushrooms and freshly fallen leaves. But you can also leave the forest behind and take the lifts, which are still open, to get one last glimpse of the mountain peaks before you see them again on skis. Put on the neon-coloured gloves that Claudio and Sonia gave you, pack a sweatshirt and water bottle in your rucksack, put on your helmet and maybe a cotton hat underneath in case you get so fast that the wind blows around your ears...

Mountain lake Lago di Lagorai - Tour
A tour that is a challenge even for experienced bikers. Long and demanding, the trail ends with the joy of reaching Lake Lagorai. The tour winds through the silence of the forests on the Lagorai chain. Before you reach your destination, you will find the enchanting waterfall that heralds proximity to the largest lake in the Lagorai chain. The rest along the blue lake with its characteristic elongated shape is a moment of well-deserved bliss. The way back requires just as much effort as the ascent.
Luserna - Roana cycle path
An almost 30 km long cycle/footpath from the centre of Lusèrn to Roana through forests, wide mountain pastures and countless mountain huts. Along the way you can get to know the fauna of Alpe Cimbra - marmots, hares and deer - and taste the typical products of the area. This route, which leads from the centre of Luserna to Lake Roana, is part of the path that connects Folgaria to Asiago. Starting from Luserna (1315 metres above sea level), where the ethnographic museum is located, after leaving the village you continue into the forest between the lights and shadows of the centuries-old silver fir trees. When you reach Malga Millegrobbe (1412 metres above sea level), you cross the mountain pastures, witnesses to the bloody episodes of the First World War. Between trenches and alpine puddles you will come across the guardians of the high pastures, the marmots.
There are numerous mountain pastures along the route Malga Millegrobbe di sopra, Malga Basson di sopra, Malga Busa Bisletto, Malga Costesin, Malga Camporosà, Casara Mandrielle, Casara di Campolongo and Malga Gruppach. On the way to Malga Millegrobbe and Malga Casara di Campolongo, you can sample typical local dishes or relax in the wellness centres overlooking the pastures. After the Campolongo area, descend along Monte Erio on the military road that leads to the small lake of Roana (1096 metres above sea level).
Tour Monte Peller
A real challenge by bike from Malè to the Peller refuge and panoramic tour of the Dolomites. A very panoramic route and, thanks to the different landscapes, one of the most impressive: from the dense and shady spruce forests of Val di Sole to the warmer and drier areas, rich in deciduous trees on the southern side of Monte Peller, from the wide meadows of Verdè to the equally extensive mountain pastures of Passo Forcola. Sun-kissed route, ideal in the early summer months thanks to the abundance of flowers along the paths.
Avalina Trail
Impressive panoramic views of the Dolomiti di Brenta in the north, but also as far as the Tremalzo and Monte Baldo behind Lake Garda. The two sides of the Valle del Chiese have a very different character: in the east towards Lake Ledro you don't have to climb as high. The enchanting and rather challenging trails are mostly in the forest and you only have a view of the Adamello massif here and there. It's a completely different story on the western side: here, on the southern flank of the Adamello, you get much higher and have impressive panoramic views above the tree line to the Dolomiti di Brenta in the north, but also as far as the Tremalzo and Monte Baldo behind Lake Garda. This applies not only to the Giro dell'Orizzonte, but especially to this tour to Malga Avalina.
Tremalzo Enduro Caset
The shortest round for those who don't feel like travelling the whole Tremalzo Big Tour The ascent is on a tarmac road with hairpin bends all the way to Tremalzo and an exciting descent on a dirt track to Tiarno di Sopra. The Tremalzo area is characterised by its biodiversity and concentration of endemisms, botanical rarities that you won't find anywhere else in the world! Every year, in spring and autumn, migratory birds fly over Tremalzo on their way to Africa or back to Europe. These birds are caught and ringed at the Casèt station in order to monitor their migration habits.
Ziro del Lez: Along the irrigation canal
This short trail loop on the slopes of the Magdalena mountains leads along a narrow path along a former irrigation canal. Rumo is a community made up of many small villages scattered on the slopes of the Maddalene group in the upper Non Valley on the linguistic border with South Tyrol. The slopes for agricultural cultivation are steep here, the mountains are high and so irrigation channels have always been a necessary part of the landscape. Our tour takes us from Corte Superiore via Mocenigo uphill into Val Lavazzé, where we come across the dilapidated Waalweg for the first time. In the local dialect, these are called "Lez", which means watercourse. Almost at the same altitude, the route heads west towards Lanza and on to the narrow side road that leads to Proveis in South Tyrol. Here, a fun forest trail descends and the "Rankipino" cycle path takes you to Corte Inferiore with its church visible from afar and back to Corte Superiore.
From the Dolomites to Lake Garda. This cycle route leads through four Alpine valleys in the west of Trentino from the mountains of the Adamello Brenta Dolomites Group Nature Park to the shores of Lake Garda. Numerous highlights and opportunities to get to know the country and its people await you along the route.
The highlights in the Wild West of Trentino
This cycle route gives you the opportunity to discover many of Trentino's sights in comfort on your bike. Depending on your mood, you should still plan enough time, as the Wild West between the mountains of the Dolomites and Lake Garda is well worth it.
