The picturesque valley of Livigno offers two different bike zones, each accessible by lift. Mottolino Bike Park for gravity enthusiasts on the west side and, on the opposite side of the valley, Carosello Mountain Park for enduro and flow country fans.
As the motto "Mountain is Fun" suggests, adrenaline is a top priority in the Mottolino Bikepark. From beginner trails and flow trails to challenging downhill routes - there is something for everyone with the 13 trails that wind their way down the slope in the bike park. In addition, the slopestyle area in the centre of the mountain has something for all fans of well-groomed flips and whips, while the North Shore area offers a variety of different obstacles such as catwalks, suspension bridges and winding staircases for adventurous riders. And if that's not enough action for you, you can try out new tricks on the Big Air Bag at the valley station of the Mottolino mountain railway. All trails are shaped daily to guarantee the best possible fun and safety. More information about all the offers can be found at Mottolino.it.
On the other side of Livigno, another mountain awaits fresh tyre tracks: Carosello 3000 - Mountain Park. The motto here is "Mountain is Freedom" and the trail design delivers exactly that! Endless flow on a trail network over 50 kilometres long. Created in collaboration with Hans "No Way" Rey and shaped by flow-country architect Diddie Schneider, this new trail style, designed for speed and flow, offers safety for beginners and families and the coveted rollercoaster feeling for advanced riders. Thanks to the gondola and chairlifts, the trail network only has a few hundred metres of ascent, which also benefits the accessibility of the trails. More information and a detailed map of the trails can be found at carosello3000.com.
In total, the area around Livigno offers over 3200 kilometres of GPS mapped routes for downhill, enduro, cross-country and - why not - e-bikes and fat bikes. Guides or professional bike instructors are also available on request.
The Livigno Bike Skill Centre in the heart of the town also offers bike lessons for all skill levels as well as guided tours to the best trails and most beautiful views in the region with experienced guides. The Bike Skill Centre is also the ideal place for children of all ages, who can get used to mountain biking and improve their riding technique on wooden bridges, simple features and a 130m-long pump track. More information about this offer can be found at livigno.eu.
However, Livigno has more to offer than just fantastic trails: 30 bike hotels and holiday flats with special services such as bike cleaning, laundry service and bike workshops, a beautiful lake, a wide variety of hiking trails, traditional Italian cuisine and the Aquagranda Active You!, one of Europe's largest centres for leisure, sport, relaxation and wellness, await guests. Last but not least, Livigno is a duty-free zone and invites you to stroll and shop with more than 250 tax-free shops.
