If a path on the map hugs the contour lines so gently that you can barely recognise its zigzag lines, then that's a good sign. So it won't be particularly steep in the narrow serpentines. The disadvantage: because the marked path lies exactly on the contour lines, we cannot recognise whether it is a dotted, dashed or solid line. Everything is possible, from riding to pushing. What's more, the contour lines here are extremely closely staggered - in other words, if you overshoot one of the narrow hairpin bends, you'll probably fall straight down to Lake Lugano. From the top bend, at an altitude of 1130 metres, to the surface of the water at 272 metres, that would be a flight of - piiiiiiiioouuuu ... my finger flies straight over the contour lines - splash: 850 metres in altitude. It would therefore be helpful if we could find out a little more about this route. But unfortunately, there is not even any useful information on the internet about the path that so magically attracts us. So we will have to find out for ourselves.
