Counter question: Why shouldn't a pizza chef be able to build trails? Of course, if he is a passionate mountain biker in his spare time, he still knows what an ideal line is. But that's exactly what's so surprising: Ivo Camilli is not a mountain biker. Rather, he is a co-founder of the "Independent Committee for Clean Trails". Well, that doesn't sound too sexy. The robin with a pickaxe on his T-shirt doesn't look very casual either. But underneath it says it all: "Godfather of Trailbuilding".
Finale Ligure is definitely not an area for beginners. The trails here have little to do with "flow country" trails. Rather, it is a network of extremely well-maintained rocky paths. You have to like rocks, steps and hairpin bends to have fun here. And there must be quite a few of this type of mountain biker, as various shuttle buses now offer their services in Finale. Tour author Ralf Glaser has taken the most beautiful routes with and without shuttles and sorted out the five absolute favourites.

- Tour 2: Base Nato Lang (21.5 km, 890 m elevation gain, 3:00 h)
