The Fünf-Seen-Land is a wonderful leisure and holiday region with a view of the Alps. Between Munich, Bad Tölz, Weilheim, Landsberg and Fürstenfeldbruck there is a wide network of cycle routes on low-traffic country roads as well as riverside and field paths.

A big plus: cyclists can travel to and from their tour in an environmentally friendly way by train. What's more, the cycle tour on the Ammersee and Starnberger See can be combined with a boat trip.

Character:

The Fünf-Seen-Land is hilly country. There are long, flat routes along the lakes, but between Ammersee and Starnberger See, for example, there are also some steep climbs. You cycle on cycle paths and country lanes - sometimes asphalted, often earth-bound - or on quiet side roads. Longer routes, e.g. on the western shore of Lake Ammer or Lake Starnberg, are also suitable for families with children.

May to September.

Journey:

Starnberg, Tutzing etc. are easily accessible by regional railway or S-Bahn.

Bike hire and repair facilities can be found in Tutzing, Starnberg, Pöcking, Feldafing, Dießen, Herrsching and Andechs.
