Easy ground, berms, bumps and as little gradient as possible - that's what makes a real flow trail for mountain bikers. We show you the five most beautiful MTB trails with guaranteed flow in Germany:
1st Stromberg Trail
The first flow trail in Germany to be awarded the "Premium" badge by the DIMB. The highlights of this 6.3-kilometre circuit from Stromberg are the two descents Wild Hog and No Jokes Trail. This year, the Gravity Pilots added a few North Shore elements to the latter. If you still have problems with the wooden constructions, you can slowly get to grips with the bridge rides on the practice course in Schindeldorf.
Length 6.3 km/165 hm
Location Rhineland-Palatinate/Hunsrück
Open April to October

2nd Kreuzberg Trail
The Kreuzberg Trail is considered the longest flow trail in Bavaria. It starts on the "holy" mountain of the Franciscan monks at an altitude of 928 metres and then shoots through the forest via waves, tables, jumps and a North Shore element. If you want to extend the downhill fun, take a short counter-climb and add the Jägersteig. Then it's a total of ten kilometres downhill.
Length 2 km/180 hm
Location Bischofsheim an der Rhön
Open April to October

3rd Emser Flowline
You will come across the "Emser Schleuder" and the "Dirt Valley" if you let yourself down on the flow trail from Kemmenau to Bad Ems. But it sounds more dangerous than it is, because here too you determine the level of difficulty yourself with the appropriate speed. Obstacles such as the road gap and the wooden seesaw can be bypassed, but the halfpipe and the lovingly maintained North Shore elements will give even beginners the confidence to ride.
Length 3.8 km/380 hm
Location Bad Ems/Rhineland-Palatinate
Open April to October, 9 am to max. 7.30 pm (see Internet)

4th Flow Country Trail on the Geißkopf
The bike park in the Bavarian Forest was one of the first bike parks in Europe in 1999. From the jumptrail to the race-ready downhill piste, you can access it with just one chairlift. This also includes a flow country trail, which is completely free of obstacles and counter-climbs, but offers marvellous 180-degree berms and fine waves for pumping. A flow trail from the two luminaries Diddie Schneider and Hans Rey.
Length 2.2 km/260 hm
Location Bischofsmais/Bavarian Forest
Open May to October daily, closed Mon. + Tue., open at weekends in November
Cable car Yes, day ticket: 26.50 euros

5th TrailCentre Rabenberg
Germany's first single trail park! Four trail circuits await you in Rabenberg, which can always be recombined at junctions. However, you should be in good physical condition, as the gradient is minimal in places and there are often uphill sections. 400 to 500 metres in altitude can be covered on a day trip. The in-built wall rides, kickers and berms are great fun. If you turn off onto the black runs, you leave the flow comfort zone and battle with rock and root fields. A day ticket costs 7 euros, a season ticket 40 euros.
Length 5.7-26.2 km
Location Ore Mountains/Saxony
Open April to the end of October Cable car/shuttle No
