Swabian potato tour
A big tour of the potato farmers in central Swabia.

It's all about the potato. And the particularly tasty form of it. After all, eight of the ten Swabian potato hosts were honoured in the "Bavarian Cuisine Competition". A respectable result when you consider that more than 700 inns across Bavaria were tested over a period of months. If you can't visit all the inns on the 215-kilometre route, you will find plenty of inspiration for cooking on the Internet or in the potato recipe booklet. Non-culinary highlights include the Maria Vesperbild pilgrimage site near Ziemetshausen, the Museum of Fine Arts in Nersingen and the Zehntstadel cultural centre in Leipheim.

Character
The cycle routes are flat to slightly hilly on country roads with little traffic and on field and forest paths. The signposted route can easily be completed in three to four days.
