Swabian-Bavarian from Lake Constance to Lake Kochelsee
The first section of the Lake Constance-Königssee cycle route from Lake Constance to Lake Kochelsee leads along the Alpine cycle route with its panoramic views

This sporty cycle tour leads up and down through the Alpine foothills in Upper Bavaria and the Allgäu from the Zugspitze, past Neuschwanstein to Lake Constance.

The section of the Lake Constance-Königssee cycle path between Kochelsee and Lake Constance through the Upper Bavarian and Allgäu Alpine foothills covers 210 kilometres without detours and is recommended for three to five day stages, depending on the supporting programme.

Large sections of the route have little or no traffic and are tarmac, while others are on gravelled forest and field paths. You should allow for steep climbs and descents, which is why a bike with a mountain transmission offers decisive advantages. The route is recommended for children aged ten to twelve years and over.
