The cycle route runs along both the southern and northern shores of the lake. In addition, the massive dam wall, which is more than a hundred years old, provides a fantastic view over the lake.
The "Möhne Life" project has renaturalised parts of the floodplains. Valley meadows and sparse riparian forests are being restored for many animal and plant species in the low mountain valleys. As part of "Möhne Life", 13 rest and information points have also been created along the cycle path.
