Today, the steam locomotive circuit runs on an attractive combination of both routes through the lovely hilly countryside of the Ostallgäu. The paths meander through charming moorland and past numerous ponds. In the gentle postcard landscape, lovers of art monuments and cosy little towns will not miss out either.
A visit to the former prince-bishop's castle in Marktoberdorf or a stroll through the romantic old town of the former imperial city of Kaufbeuren is always worthwhile. For welcome refreshment in summer, there are several bathing lakes along the way, such as the Obere Lechsee or, with a short detour, the Forggensee, which stretches right up to the gates of Füssen.

Combination with Lechtal cycle path (264 km), Forggensee cycle path (32 km), Via Claudia Augusta (700 km)
