Round trip in the Upper Lusatia border triangle
Germany's easternmost region has the smallest low mountain range, but with Bautzen and Görlitz it also has magnificent city ensembles and a surprisingly good network of cycle paths

The Upper Lusatia cycle tour takes you on a long tour through the border triangle of Germany, Poland and the Czech Republic. It runs mainly on cycle paths and country roads with little traffic. Most of the routes are tarmac.

A few longer climbs await you in the Zittau Mountains and on the way up to the source of the Spree on Mount Kottmar, especially in the first third of the circular tour. Along the Neisse and through the Upper Lusatian heath and pond landscape, however, the route is flat. The route can be easily combined with the Spree Cycle Path, the Oder-Neisse Cycle Path and the Frog Cycle Path.
