The section of the Lake Constance-Königssee cycle route between Kochelsee and Königssee through the Upper Bavarian Alpine foothills covers 226 kilometres without detours and is recommended for three to four day stages, depending on the supporting programme.
Large sections of the cycle path are traffic-free and asphalted, others run on gravelled forest and field paths. You should allow for steep ascents and descents, which is why a bike with gearing is a decisive advantage. The route is recommended for children aged ten to twelve years and older.
