The southern Allgäu lake district in particular offers the popular leisure combination of cycling and swimming, for example at Niedersonthofener See or Rottachsee. But it's not just families and leisure cyclists who will find the right routes here. More fit cyclists can try out the hilly routes in the Alpine foothills.
Cycle tours around Kempten and in the Oberallgäu lead past lakes, idyllic farms, but also up the hills of the Alpine foothills and partly through a tranquil river landscape. An interesting, easy to moderately difficult family tour of just under 60 kilometres leads from Sonthofen via Immenstadt and then around Lake Niedersonthofen.
