Bike+Bus=Freedom!
Living in the here and now is the key to happiness - and this works particularly well on a bike road trip with friends. Five reasons why you should take a trip like this this season.

A road trip on a mountain bike is more than just a journey from A to B - it is a return to the essentials. Between dusty paths, wide landscapes and steep trails, every bend becomes a little adventure, every stage a dialogue with nature and your own body. You not only discover new places, but also new perspectives. The freedom to follow the horizon without a fixed plan creates space for spontaneity and depth. In the reduction to the essentials - the bike, the trail, the moment - lies a quiet form of happiness that is often lost in everyday life. Here are 5 reasons why you should set off this season.

1. more intense experience

Time flies - and bang, the summer is over and you haven't been there. It's the parents' evening, the job deadline or the tax deadline. While the clock is constantly ticking against you in everyday life, a day on a road trip has 24 hours. You live more intensely and break out of the hamster wheel of everyday life.

2. friendship

We've all been there: you've wanted to meet up with that one friend for ages - but something keeps getting in the way. No more of that! Time to prioritise. There's hardly a better opportunity to do this than to set off together and rekindle your friendship on the road.

3. discover trails

The old debate: Do you stick with the tried and tested or do you dare to try something new? Our answer: At least once a year, you should swap your comfort zone for curiosity! Go trail-hunting and discover unknown bike parks. A road trip is the perfect opportunity to combine trail destinations.

4. inspiration

Everyday life is full of routine - there is no room to think about the big picture. The road trip is different: between the trail and the campfire, there is room for real conversations. You get fresh input, new perspectives and maybe even an idea or two that will enrich your life.

5. better biking

As we all know, repetition makes perfect. Anyone who sits in the saddle for three days in a row soon realises that progress comes naturally! This is where the road trip really comes into its own. A nice side effect: less time in the car, more time on the bike - no more long journeys to and from the destination.

What counts for him is not how fast you get from A to B, but what happens in between. Lehner writes reports, interviews scene celebrities and tests products and bikes - preferably those with a lot of suspension travel.
