Good news from Stromberg
The Flowtrail Stromberg is one of the pioneering projects in German trail building. Over the winter, the trail was repaired and a new board was elected, and bike companies are already queuing up.

The flow trail in Stromberg is one of the pioneering projects in German trail building. A rollercoaster feeling for maximum endorphin rush, easy and safe to ride for beginners, yet challenging for experts. The project is supported by sponsors, volunteers and commercial use, with individual bikers benefiting but not having to pay. 2017 marks the sixth year of the flow trail, which was opened in 2011. And a lot has happened again this winter. Since November, dedicated people have been meeting every Saturday in Stromberg's municipal forest to repair the trail, create new obstacles or make old obstacles more accessible. For example, the steep turn "The Wall" has now also been made accessible to beginners, crossroads here and there have been made safer with suitably placed steep turns and much more.

The MTB trail has been open to everyone again since 1 April 2017 and the prospects for 2017 look very good. The association's board has been newly elected, which will bring a breath of fresh air to the project without forgetting the achievements of the previous board members. Rotwild, Scott, Liteville, GT and Cannondale will be holding official events at Flowtrail Stromberg this year, and riding technique events are also on the association's programme, as is the integration of e-bikers into the Flowtrail concept. So a visit is more worthwhile than ever.

Adrian Kaether's favourite thing to do is ride mountain bikes on bumpy enduro trails. The tech expert and bike tester knows all about Newton metres and watt hours, high and low-speed damping. As test manager at MYBIKE, Adrian also likes to think outside the box and tests cargo bikes and step-through bikes as well as the latest (e-)MTBs.
