OK, I admit: super trail is a bit of an exaggeration. There are trails that fit the definition better because they are more technically demanding, more alpine or more exotic. Nevertheless, there is no other trail in the world that offers me what I experience in the saddle in Nürburg. And there is no trail that combines my two passions so intensively: Motorsport and mountain biking. The legendary Nürburgring Nordschleife is 20,832 metres long, the "Green Hell" is considered to be the most difficult, longest and most beautiful race track in the world with its 73 bends, blind crests and gradients of up to 18 per cent. The names of the sections are legendary: Schwedenkreuz, Fuchsröhre, Hohe Acht, not forgetting the Karussell and Schwalbenschwanz banked bends - motorsport history was written on the Nordschleife. The signposted bike route is around 26,000 metres long (depending on the variant), most of which runs just a few metres next to the race track; you need to plan an hour and a half for a relaxed tour.
You can find everything about the MTB route on the Nürburgring-Nordschleife in the PDF download.
