Peter Denk has become known for his innovative bike designs. How does he come up with his ideas? By riding on an all-round perfect MTB trail: the Borderline on Freiburg's Roßkopf.
There are certainly many fantastic descents around the world. But show me one that is as much fun uphill as our Freiburg Roßkopf Trail. As usual, we meet in Kartäuserstraße: Habi, Ansgar and me. After 100 metres of tarmac, we turn into a trail that Mother Nature couldn't have shaped more beautifully. Hairpin bend after hairpin bend, it climbs up the slope at a moderate gradient. There, my favourite bend. Habi wedges himself behind me and tries to make me nervous by wiggling around. There is no friendship on this bend.
