Oh boy - Slick Rock, Vinschgau - and here I am, with my favourite trail on the Alz. On the other hand, when photographer Wolfgang asked me, this trail was the first thing that popped into my head. This is where I learnt to ride, this is my home and when I ride at home, it's here. In Garching. But not the suburban Garching near Munich, but the rural one in beautiful Chiemgau, just 30 kilometres from the "Bavarian Sea", Lake Chiemsee.
The starting point is the car park at the Garching swimming pool. This is where I used to meet up with my cross-country colleagues from the club. Only back then we didn't have shovels with us. Just like today. I now know that with a little fine-tuning, you can get a bit more out of every natural bend. If it's allowed.
