Germany: Baltic Sea islands by mountain bike
Wolin, Usedom and Rügen - the three Baltic Sea islands were once formed by Scandinavian glaciers. There are no high mountains, but there are plenty of MTB trails and gigantic chalk cliffs.

So, if there are any blank spots on the biking map, the three Baltic Sea islands of Rügen, Usedom and Wolin are definitely one of them. Rügen is Germany's largest island, Wolin is in Poland and in between, across Usedom, is the border between the two countries. But that's about it. No mountains, no bike park, no trails worth mentioning. Just as you're about to moisten your index finger and turn the pages of the atlas, you stop and think again: it's May. The real mountains are still covered in snow and have been cancelled as springtime terrain. But spring is exploding right on our doorstep - and a long weekend is just around the corner. So why not take a tour along the Baltic Sea? Peninsulas, islands, bays, cliffs - on the map, the Pomeranian Bay is a mosaic of land and water. Flat, but winding - and after all: created by a glacier.
