Cycling tours with the electric bike
Pleasure cycling in Berchtesgadener Land, surrounded by mighty mountains? Is that possible? It is possible - if you have the right bike. With the "Flyer" electric bike, even relatively steep Alpine roads can be mastered almost in a flash.

Tour tips:

The Berchtesgadener Land is the first region in Germany to be properly geared up for leisure cycling with the Flyer bike and has created its own infrastructure. This includes seven hire stations for the special bikes, which - together with three other pure exchange stations - always provide new energy (empty battery - full battery).

The Hochschwarzeck mountain railway offers a special service, where you can take the cable car up to the mountain pasture while charging your batteries. Flyer bikes are available to hire from 18 euros/day. Information about the Flyer infrastructure (participating hotels and hire stations, battery exchange stations, package deals, tour tips, Flyer events, etc.) is available from movelo GmbH, Getreidegasse 9, 83435 Bad Reichenhall, Tel. 08651/7666666, mailto:info@movelo.com , http://www.movelo.com . An overview of other Flyer holiday regions with special infrastructure can be found on the website http://www.flyertravel.ch

Journey:

By train via Munich to Bad Reichenhall or Berchtesgaden, http://www.bahn.de or http://www.fahrtziel-natur.de

The quickest way to get here by car is via the A8 Munich-Salzburg motorway to the Bad Reichenhall exit. From there, take the B 20 to Bad Reichenhall and Berchtesgaden.
