The 3-Worlds Cycle Route is a cross-border circular tour dedicated to the three themes of rivers (including the Rhine with the Rhine Falls), lakes (especially Lake Constance) and low mountain ranges (Black Forest). The tour is sometimes challenging, but also has almost flat stages.
The route is based on existing, well-signposted cycle paths such as the Lake Constance Cycle Path, the Black Forest Panorama Cycle Path or the Neckar Cycle Path. There is no continuous 3-Worlds Cycle Route signposting, which would be superfluous given the good signposting of the existing cycle routes. Special 3-Worlds Cycle Route signposting is only clearly visible at cycle route changes.
Journey
Everyone can choose the start and end point of the circular tour as they wish. A good starting point is Schaffhausen, for example, which is easy to reach by train and car. If you want to change to the bus or train for part of the tour, you can do so free of charge in the Black Forest with special spa tickets (www.konus-schwarzwald.info). The boat is also a nice alternative to the cycle path. Info under www.urh.ch
