The Allgäu Cycle Tour was created to summarise the most beautiful corners of the region - with small detours from Bavaria to Baden-Württemberg and Tyrol. And it's a success! The Allgäu Alpine panorama is a constant companion. At the centre of the tour is Kempten, the capital of the Allgäu, with its lively old town. Bad Grönenbach in the north and Bad Wörishofen in the east are also worth a visit. Baroque towns such as Leutkirch, Wangen and Isny await in the west. And in the south, you can marvel at King Ludwig II's dream turned to stone: Neuschwanstein Castle. Because it is often up and down, an electric bike is recommended for some. No problem, because the Allgäu offers e-bike hire (almost) everywhere.
The circular tour described follows the Allgäu Cycle Tour and the Iller Cycle Path. The route is characterised by almost gradient-free passages as well as steeper sections, but is also manageable for leisure cyclists with a bit of fitness.
