The premiere in May 2025 was a success and had a bit of the Sella Ronda Bike Day in the Dolomites about it: A wildly mixed field of participants of all ages set off together on the alpine trails of the Chiemgau Alps in glorious weather. The panoramic views along the way ranged from Lake Chiemsee and Hochfelln to the peaks of Berchtesgaden and far into the Loferer Steinberge.
There was no reason to hurry on the three signposted laps. On the contrary: as with the Dolomites model, the Chiemgau Bike Trophy allows you to take a leisurely stroll. The focus is on the shared touring experience, which is why it doesn't matter what kind of sports equipment you use: mountain bikes, e-bikes and gravel bikes - everything is allowed.
However, there are still refreshment stops and if you want to treat yourself to a Kaiserschmarrn, you can also stop off at a rustic mountain hut for a break.
An event that the Chiemgau organisers Inzell, Ruhpolding, Bergen and Siegsdorf also enjoyed a lot, which is why there will be a second edition next June:
This time, the start will not be in Inzell, but in Ruhpolding. The 2026 courses will therefore perhaps be slightly adapted, but will roughly correspond to the three laps of the premiere:
The route: From Ruhpolding along the Weiße Traun via the Bergener Moos to Siegsdorf and along the Rote Traun via Eck to Inzell and back to Ruhpolding (also suitable for families).
The route: From Ruhpolding in the direction of Hochfelln and after a 700 metre ascent via Bergen down to Siegsdorf.
The route: From Ruhpolding also in the direction of Hochfelln and Bergen to Siegsdorf, then back via Stoißeralm, Teisenberg and Frillensee (two long climbs).
The sponsors will also be there again to provide the best pre-event programme, catering and service stations.
Entry fee: 30-40 euros (if you register by 30 November) up to 60-70 euros (depending on the distance) for last-minute registrants
