The park is located in the centre of the Black Forest and is known for its downhill run. Local Marcus Klausmann also trains here regularly.

Most visitors come for the downhill run. The chairlift takes you up 500 metres in altitude. There are two routes. A downhill and a freeride route. On the downhill, you only want to ride a big bike. Because the route is rugged and blocked. Steep descents, root carpets, stone steps and slate slabs make the descent a challenge. Experienced downhillers love it. Park newcomers and even many beginners should feel their way slowly. The Wildride freeride route, on the other hand, leads tamely towards the valley station. Something has changed here in recent years. The Wildride has been upgraded with lots of table jumps, berms and curve combos. Quite nice, especially for park newcomers and families. However, park freeriders will find more fun elsewhere.

Conclusion The downhill course in Todtnau rightly has its fan club. For families and park newcomers, however, only the Wildride remains.

Born in South Baden, Laurin Lehner is, by his own admission, a lousy racer. Maybe that's why he is fascinated by creative, playful biking. What counts for him is not how fast you get from A to B, but what happens in between. Lehner writes reports, interviews scene celebrities and tests products and bikes - preferably those with a lot of suspension travel.
