Park founder Florian Schaper knows each of his guests personally. The riders form a community, but are open to any newcomers who they show their trails to. In the lower part of the park ("downchill area") there is a series of slopestyle elements with a high "same again factor".
Four routes are spread across the 150 metre high mountain flank. The 1.1 kilometre long downhill requires a skilful choice of line and some skill to hit the jumps between the roots perfectly. If you want to train seriously here, you will always find a local who will take you in tow on the first few rides. The "Freecross", a course of tables and step-ups, is also a real challenge:
The coarse Schulenberg crushed sand does not allow for excessively high cornering speeds and requires concentration. In contrast, the Northshore trail, which consists of some impressively high but safely built structures, can be mastered without danger. The freeride trail is a bumpy natural track with a few easy jumps. The large, lower road gap is impressive with its cleverly shaped, almost all forgiving landing, which shoots the brave onto further slopestyle elements.
Conclusion: Downhill racers will find a technically challenging, steep and rooty course coupled with a fast uphill ride. The big drops and the gap in the slopestyle course provide a thrill. Beginners are somewhat lost here.
Overall rating: 6.5 out of 10 possible points
