Along the lakeshore from Bregenz to Friedrichshafen
Lake Constance not only benefits from its marvellous location in the three-country region of Germany, Austria and Switzerland. A certain climatic advantage is also noticeable here. One reason why the popular Lake Constance cycle path can be cycled (almost) all year round.

A section of the long-distance route, such as from Bregenz to Friedrichshafen, is recommended for the autumn. And if you are travelling before 15 October, you can then take a leisurely two-hour trip back across the lake on a passenger boat. If the "White Fleet" has already been mothballed for the winter, you can also take the train.

As the 37 kilometres are easy to cycle, there is still some time for interesting things along the cycle path. Right at the start in Bregenz, the Kunsthaus KUB and the Vorarlberg Museum await culture enthusiasts. On the German side, the old town of Lindau on an island in Lake Constance calls for an extensive stop.

Back on the mainland, the cycle route continues towards Wasserburg, via Nonnenhorn to Langenargen, where Montfort Castle is well worth a visit. If you are still in the mood for sightseeing at your destination in Friedrichshafen, you can visit the castle and the Zeppelin Museum in addition to the beautiful waterfront promenade.
